Floriade Tour Ended Form

September to October marks the season of the Canberra Floriade Festival, one of Australia’s most awaited flower shows that has been around since 1988. The festival showcases Australia’s lovely and colourful array of flora.  Around 300,000 bulbs are annually distributed to community groups, schools and organisations to plant out in their homes and suburbs, bringing gorgeous bursts of colour to the whole city for the entire duration of the festival.

We’ve designed a custom Canberra Floriade Tour to showcase not only the Floriade Festival itself, but also take guests to visit the National Arboretum and The National Bonsai and Penjing Collection, as well as Tulip Top Gardens, a private estate that houses a fabulous display of colourful tulips. Truly a feast for the eyes!

Fabulous day visiting all the sights with Danielle. She was knowledgeable, informative and had a great sense of humour. She also had such a vast background knowledge of all the sights we saw, which made the day a really enjoyable one. I would highly recommend this tour

After a last minute decision to book the tour we were met at our hotel by Neil and taken on an informative and interesting insight into the history of Canberra. Neils wealth of knowledge and friendly demeanour made for an enjoyable day starting with a trip to Mount Ainslie where he explained the capitals early settlement to present day, an insightful tour of Duntroon, guided walking tours of both Parliament buildings, explanations of significant local architecture and finally experiencing the Last Post ceremony at the War Memorial. Thank you Neil for sharing your stories and knowledge.

Couples Absolutely marvellous. Guide was first class. - Angela - great day.Saw everything we wanted to and then had bonus ceremony at War Memorial. Trip was well paced but allowed plenty of time for looking, and then plenty of convenience stops including meals, drinks etc. Bottled water supplies gratis. Strongly recommend.

As soon as possible. This highly-awaited tour happens at a very busy time of the year, and runs for only 30 days, which means that there are limited slots compared to most of our other tours.

If you aren’t coming from a hotel, pickups will be done outside the North Building on London CCT.

During the tour, expect several minutes of light walking, but you are not required to walk as much as the other people on your tour group if you are not interested or able to walk because of physical limitations or disabilities. In the end, it will largely be at the discretion of the person.

Food merchants will be available at the Floriade Festival, but you are allowed to bring your picnic lunch. All meals will be at the expense of each customer and are not included in the tour.

It will be all in daylight hours in springtime. It could be cool, to begin with, but it’s most likely to be mild spring weather. A light overcoat might be advised.

Alternative dates would be offered. If you are not available on those said dates, we can issue a full refund. However, you should note that we will make try our best to ensure that the tour proceeds even in the event of inclement weather.

It is suggested you check the weather forecast the night before your tour and bring an umbrella or raincoat at your discretion.
