Despite being the capital, Canberra is often overshadowed by other larger and more well-known cities such as Sydney and Melbourne. However, Canberra has a lot to offer visitors, from its stunning natural scenery to its rich cultural heritage.
The team at Canberra Guided Tours is passionate about providing expert guided tours in and around Australia’s National Capital. We first began this venture back in 1961, and are now the longest-operating tour company in the ACT. Each of our team members and tour guides takes great pride in having strong connections to our roots, having been born in, living, or working in Canberra for most of our lives.
Our pioneering operators, Mary and Jack Dando gave visitors a memorable experience in the Nation’s Capital in the 1960s. The main attractions in the city were slightly different then and were all linked together by a bridge that went over the Molonglo River, now known as Lake Burley Griffin.
A lot has happened since we opened our doors on that fateful day in 1961. Today, Canberra has evolved into a thriving hub for travellers and adventure seekers, and our team couldn’t be more delighted to continue Mary and Jack’s legacy.
