Full Day Tour

Full Day. 09.00am - 05.00pm

With pick up from your accommodation we begin the day with a trip to Mount Ainslie to view the city and learn the history and planning by Walter Burley Griffin.

A one hour tour of the Australian War Memorial, including the Hall of Valour, the Roll of Honour, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and an overview of WW1 and WW2.

Drive Anzac Parade, over Commonwealth Bridge, The National Library, Questacon, along Commonwealth Place, the High Court, The National Gallery of Australia, The Portrait Gallery.

Tour Old Parliament House, (now known as The Museum of Australian Democracy) view the past Prime Ministers office and other areas of this historic building, then up Federation Mall for a one-hour tour of Parliament House.

Should it be a parliamentary sitting day, you can see Question Time from the speaker's gallery, then tour The Great Hall, Marble Foyer, the Senate chamber and view the city from the roof for the ideal photo.

A visit to the National Museum of Australia, for one hour and see some of the nation's interesting exhibits, and marvel at the buildings very unusual architecture.

If you have visited these attractions before or wish to spend more time at them, we can arrange the tour accordingly.

You may like to visit current exhibitions at the National Art Gallery, the Portrait Gallery or the National Library.

Complete the day with a drive around the Embassies, or Telstra Tower and return to your accommodation.
